Sekou (tha misfit) has performed privately for Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, Norman Lear, P-Diddy, Hillary Clinton, Quincy Jones, Al Gore and Coretta Scott King & family; and has shared the stage with such artists as Jill Scott, John Legend, Robin Williams, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Maroon 5, and the Black Eyed Peas. Publicly he has featured on ABC World News, Good Morning America, MSNBC, HBO, BET, Showtime, MTV, Nike.com, and Artisan Films' Belly DVD. Sekou has won the National Poetry Slam championship twice, has featured in two national tours - including Declare Yourself, which registered over 1 million young voters - and he has two award-winning CDs, including the brand new Double CD "Poetic License" for sale tonight.
