Kwanzaa all about kwanzaa

Acclaimed award winner of "Best Holiday Album" takes on the competition of holiday music...

Blind Faith Records presents..."Seven: A Kwanzaa Soundtrack"!
An educating, uplifting and entertaining FULL-LENGTH COMPILATION CD celebrating the Kwanzaa holiday.

Sekou (tha misfit), Executive Producer, transcends the traditional music of Kwanzaa (Afro-Cuban & children's music) with an enchanting musical web of jazz, rap, soul, pop, gospel and spoken word. With, "Seven", Sekou brings to the surface what commercial holiday music has yet to encounter: the best independent artists and live musicians from the nationwide urban music scene, who challenge and re-define the traditional realm of holiday music compilations that feature established artists.

- private ceremonies
- classroom settings
- family gatherings, and
- gift giving for holiday celebrations of any religion.

Following each interlude, are songs like:

"1 Teach 2"- a slammin' hip-hop/soul celebration of the principle UJIMA (Collective Work & Responsibility).

"This I Know" - an inspirational ballad that is already being sung by students at local school graduations

"Happy Kwanzaa" - has been described as the new "Kwanzaa anthem" by many listeners.

Not only has this CD been praised and enjoyed by all ages, from teenagers to elders, from gospel fans to rap fans, but its selections are being used in schools around the country and it was even honored with the 2000 JPF award for Best Holiday Album by the nations largest music organization.
